Gosh, Becky, I hear ya. I don't work in tech support, but I've been working customer service in many fields for a long time... and I can totally relate! Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes you get that call... *sigh*

Yeah, it's true. And why they can't find jobless people in America to do these jobs, I'll never know!!! It's always someone who can't speak English - and you know, while I speak English well and Italian passably, I can't understand English with a strong Indian accent because they accent the wrong syllables and speak SO fast. >.<

Okay... that is the true issue for me. Not where someone is but the accent. Now, this could be a Southern (meaning, USA South) accent or whatever. I know that in radio and news, people take classes to drop any accent and speak very flat, but very understandable English. I think this is what we need. I don't *usually* run into comprehension problems with tech support (though, Jennifer, grrl, if you're having a tech issue, I would guess it's top tier, babe) but, as Abbie said, I run into understanding what someone is telling me all the time. And that is beyond annoying.
