Thank you for the answers you gave me. They were perfect. I am also curious about what would be taught to the soldiers after the Academies transition to Military Academies. I think the thing that is sad, which I would like to propose if it has not already been adopted, is that after the transition, all the Academies teach the same things, the same courses.

I think this is very sad but also it fits with the mythology. A certain carded Celestial warned the new Council that Hom would become homogenized and that the distinct beauty of the Provinces (as they were existing mostly unaffected, living isolated and insulated from one another) would be lost after Unification.

I would like to see that prediction coming true in the changes that sweep across the Academies.

This leads me to ask: What courses would be taught the soldiers? Can we have six? Can we find this information about basic training or should I ask Estella?

I can get information about basic training in America, but I would love Estella's input.

Only one question: In Homidin (or is the correct use Homidus?) school Academies, the Dean and the Dean of Students is the same person, si?

Luz, the Dean of Students is the head of the student body; the Dean is the head of an academic part of the school, so they're not the same person.

My leave ends this coming Tuesday but I made a promise to Luz to post this for all of you. I hope that it is found to be helpful. I am not sure what Internet privileges will be after I'm gone but, of course, if I have allowed access, I will certainly post.

If I am understanding correctly what has been done:

Lhanor Academy/Lhanor Base

Dean/General
Professor/Captain
Assistant/Lieutenant, Second Class (these are very bright students)
Union Leader/Sergeant
Union Officer/Corporal
Student/Private

Used to be:
two years (CD) Common Degree
four years (SD) Specialized Degree
six to eight years (MD) Mastery Degrees

Now is:
One year of study followed by one year on Earth

Luz asked of me, what would Basic Training be like and what would it entail. This would be the one year of study on Hom and perhaps even the following year on Earth. Because these creatures, the Celestials, are very long-lived, I would assume they are in BT for the entirety of those two years.

For humans (not Humans in MG3K but humans, like me, with the Brazilian Armed Forces) the training time is divided between BT and Individual Training.

BT consists of learning proper military address and protocols, basic combat and field movement, and physical training. Trainees are strictly controlled and kept to regime. This lasts three months. During this time, you are not allowed off-base phone contact or allowed away-time. You do not have Internet access. You are not allowed to go anywhere alone, only with your assigned comrade.

By the end of BT, your superiors have had time to assess your strengths and weakness and you graduate into IT. Here you receive the specialized training you need to excel on the path your superiors feel is best for you. It was easy to convert these into twelve fields that fit Celestials:

Heavy Weapons Offense
Enforcers
Transportation
Communications
Black Ops

All soldiers also receive additional weapons proficiency training and physical strength and endurance training throughout IT. IT takes anywhere from three months (for base paths like Infantry) to 1.5 years for Black Ops. Officers are usually in IT for six months. During IT, soldiers are granted more privileges such as off-base phone contact and being allowed to walk to meals alone.

I am not certain if you would like to have your Celestials undergo IT but it would make sense. Perhaps, they would have six months in BT, six months in IT, then six months on Earth, and then return to Hom for finishing IT.

This makes a lot of sense to me. The only IT area that we might want to modify for the Celestials in particular is Chaplain. Unless we want to go ahead and discuss some of the spiritual aspects and requirements of Celestials on a daily basis?
