I imagine Maria wearing the maguey crown for some time, but, since it is an organic material, it will eventually break down. This is when various other crowns would come into play. She makes them herself and only has one at a time.
Unlike the crown I made and shared on the Terrapyre thread, Maria's crowns are more sparse, thinner, with just a few vines or woven pieces.

Born in 392 BC near San Lorenzo, Mexico, to the Olmec people (also called the Tenocelome or Jaredites) Maria may seem somewhat out of sync and intense at times. Maria's abilities to see into nonlinear time are better than any other Immortal with only Eris' own abilities even coming close.
Maria, unlike Eris who sees things in dreams, can control her episodes of "remembering" (past, present or future) though triggering these episodes often causes her to cry tears of blood.
She is able to read almost all thoughts.
Maria wears a headband of maguey thorns strung together with red thread. She wears a lodestone compass on a necklace of red granite and obsidian beads. Her back is ritually scarred with Olmec symbols and what appear to be Homidin glyphs. She harbors a deep--though controlled--hatred of Celestials in general but especially Celestials from Gwandiis. She was the Lead Terrapyre in the group of Terrapyres that made first contact with Celestials in 1450 AD.

Yeah, she's complicated and intense. I think someone not as strong as Maria is might go crazy with her powers. The fact that she is icy sane is very appealing.
