Abigail Fitzsimmons started writing creatively in seventh grade, spurred on by her girlhood best friend, and enjoyed the process so much she kept at it. Again and again ideas spring to her mind and she hurries to scribble them down as drawings or phrases that will be written later. Now twenty-two years old, Abigail lives in southern Wisconsin with her husband, Chris, and dog, Penny, in their first home, an old Victorian. She is currently attending the University of Wisconsin for an art degree. She also works as a part-time waitress, is involved regularly with her church family and writes on the side. Abigail wrote "Doubletake" for the "Crusade Battle Anthology."

What a pat little paragraph. It reveals a little bit about me, and why I started writing, but not much about all the fun, silly, exciting, over-the-top things I really wanted to say.
Such as, how MG3K keeps tugging me back even when I think I might have forgotten what to do next. How EJ and I call the Terrapyre Companions "Peeps" (because that is a WAY cooler name than Companions). How I am absolutely out-of-my-mind THRILLED to be published for the first time. How my characters keep sucking me back in, and I want to know more of them, that with every sentence they reveal themselves to me more fully. How I am, without a doubt, and in every way, honored to the fullest to be part of such a dedicated team of artists, writers, movers, shakers, lovers, and everyone in between.
Basically, I love the intensity of the Immortal battles. I love how Terrapyres are outwardly emotional, their feelings on their sleeves, and yet beneath their tough tattooed exterior lies a deep complexity. I love that Celestials seem cool and calm on the outside, yet with the very fiber of their being how very much in tune with their own universe they are. The battle must continue, for neither can allow the purpose of the other's end designs to persist. And yet...sometimes it seems as though they seek the same end.
Peace. Whether it is external or internal, worldwide or individual, exuberant or softened. Perhaps Immortals are not so different from us, after all.

I couldn't agree more, Abbie, with so much of what you say here. I'm so very glad to have you with us.

As a writer I tend to be sort of eclectic. I like to write little things here and there, and look at characters from various walks of life and different angles. I really love writing short stories when I am uninspired to do anything else, because it usually spurs me on in the larger project I am (forever) writing. Currently I'm writing a new YA fantasy trilogy, which I hope will be successful (if I ever finish it, haha!), and in the off hours or when I would rather goof off, my creativity spills onto my blog, among other places. Short-short stories when I just need to create something. I figure, other people might get enjoyment out of this. So I have a fiction blog. bumbershootconundrum.blogspot.comEnjoy!
