There are six types of Angels in MG3K mythology. Several of them have been renamed as we approach National Edition launch but their roles remain relatively unchanged. As I posted on the sticky in this section, MG3K does not encourage stories that focus on Angels. The Angels (of any various type) play specific and hidden roles in the mythology and should not be over-used (or used at all) by authors from September 1, 2009, onward. To "get your angel on" and write about Angels some, post in the fan fiction section please.
The six types of Angels are:
Angels of the Lord:
Messenger Angels
Host Angels
Fallen Angels
Angels of Lucifer:
Harbinger Angels
Minion Angels
Risen Angels
The Lord has Host Angels and Lucifer has Minion Angels. These angels are Humans who have died. They must have died (Lucifer cannot claim Humans before death) and they must have lived unrepentant lives of a truly heinous means. I think parents who beat their children or call them stupid or make them feel shame often wake up after death as Minion Angels, but hey, that's just my opinion. Minion Angels swarm all over the unnamed realm that Lucifer calls home... as a matter of fact, Minion Angels *are* his realm.
Once, his realm was unformed and without shape or texture. Now, Minion Angels form walls and pits and labyrinths. The Minion Angels cater to Lucifer's every need and suffer at his whim. They *can* leave the realm and appear to Humans to cause pain and suffering, but they are not always strong enough to venture out for such hauntings and evil. Lucifer sends Harbinger Angels for his official bidding.
