EJ,
You have made incredible changes to this "back story" element of the MG3K mythology. It is apparent from your changes that you have amazing surprises in store for us. I have some general questions and I'm hoping you'll please answer them on the specific angel threads as appropriate.
1. Which angels have wings? Are they always visible? Can they manifest them at will?
2. You mention Messenger Angels having Skills. What other angels have Skills? Does any angel other than Lucifer have the "seventh Skill"?
Thank you for this wonderful information.
Jennifer

I've read a lot of angel mythology and this is great, Angel. Nicely imagined.
I completely understand and respect Angel closing acceptance of angel stories but I'm curious if there were books with angels that were contracted before the close? Will they still run?

Angelo, I believe I can answer your question for you. There are two or three books that feature various types of angels (or assumed angels) as well as one side-line series. Mostly, EJ's decision to close this part of the brand is from a desire to keep the focus on the Celestials and Terrapyres, and to keep the few hidden angels in the brand rare and wonderful. Glad to have you joining us Jennifer

2. You mention Messenger Angels having Skills. What other angels have Skills? Does any angel other than Lucifer have the "seventh Skill"? I'll answer about the wings on the specific threads, Jennifer, as well as the Skills question. But as for the seventh Skill, I'll answer here (listen carefully): No other *angel* have the seventh Skill. :} EJ

Tricky, tricky EJ... I sense a loophole...
EJ, I love what you're doing here, how you've fleshed out the new angels section. It's incredible... *so* perfect. It's a good thing you were so clear about no more writing about them... Because the descriptions make it very tempting.

*rolls eyes*
I think you live to be tricky.
Just saying. =]
So... I'll ask the question. What *does* have a seventh skill?

Why, that would be me, Brianne... *I* have the seventh skill. And I'm not saying anything more about it... Becky

Not telling. Revealed in the final Mardi Gras 3000 novel, "End Time Angels," (which will probably be a group writing project, switching chapters between various writers when the time comes) set in 3000 AD

On the Terrapyre weapons thread, Jennifer mentions that harps are "rumored (in mythology) to have powers over angels so that will work into Mardi Gras 3000 quite well." There hasn't been any other discussion about this. Is this something we want to include in MG3K Angel Mythology and if so, in what way?

A harp could be like a summoning tool for an angel. Perhaps a specific harp for each angel, or type of angel. And they may come, to help you with whatever you need, or they may not come, but give you something else in exchange. (Like a temporary ability or something)
*shrug?* Just my initial thoughts, if we want to go in that direction.

It would certainly be interesting if different kinds of music brought different kinds of Angels . . . but it would there would have to be something extraordinarily difficult about it--a certain kind of harp, made with certain wood and tuned a certain way or a particular kind of music or music in a certain key. Otherwise we'll have Angels flying around in all the battles ;0

Well I imagine that the harps are extraordinarily rare, and can't be used several times in a row. Perhaps, they can be used once every century, or something to that effect. For Immortals this would not be a terribly long time, but Terrapyres do still experience time, even if they do not age with it. So, it would have to be a very dire situation, perhaps where a comrade was taken and they had no resources or way to find him/her...
Maybe it would just depend on the situation. Like, the grant for a second chance, using a harp to summon an Angel would be costly in some way. Perhaps take all the remaining energy and leave the activator of the harp completely helpless. Or, that Immortal would be completely without his/her Abilities for a short time, but the same as a normal human.
It couldn't be willy-nilly, of course, but it would make a totally awesome booster deck - the harps and the Angels that correspond, but your player has to go through the next turn with absolutely no defenses and if attacked is sent from the game. Something! :-)
