Pelucir was born on Hom at a time equivalent with the year 2036 AD on Earth. As a young man he showed a strange ability to morph into inanimate objects. This had never been documented among Celestials before and it wasn't really seen as a good trait by his parents but rather a failing as he also seemed unable to morph into anything living. Over time he learned to hide his strange gift/curse. Eventually, Pelucir learned to morph into living creatures and flora but he was never better than average at it. After being drafted to search for the Grail on Earth, Pelucir found that he suffered horribly in a 3D environment. After his first battle (which resulted in the death of several Terrapyres and several Celestials) he ran. By the time he meets Kara Thorne, he has been in deep hiding, so deep it borders on suspended animation, for more than ten years. As Pelucir's expert, I am exploring what it means to be genetically unsuited to be a soldier as well as why certain people are given gifts that seem to be curses. I am also trying to show the emotional connections (intense, sensual, lyrical) that can occur across vast differences when people share a core or fundamental similarity. As for exploration of the MG3K brand, through Pelucir's eyes, I hope to show the dehumanizing (dehomidusizing) that has crept into the Celestial culture since the quest for the Grail began. Summer Pelucir is currently featured in: "Crusade" in the Crusade Battle Anthology.

This unique Celestial was created by Summer Lyn ("Sunshine" here on the forum) and makes his first appearance in Summer's story "Crusade" in The Crusade Battle Anthology. Summer illustrated the story with nine full-color panels but the panels will run in black and white in the published book. However, the entire story and all the color pictures are available as a free pdf downloadable excerpt, a kind of trailer for the collection as a whole. The link to the excerpt won't be added to the Mardi Gras 3000 website until mid- or late-September, but forum members can enjoy the story (and illustrations) right now at: www.mardigras3000.com/downloads/crusade.pdf
