Looks great, Brianne The Jade novel ("Jade: Awakening") is out with the second wave. This is a nice teaser of things to come -- as well as the story in the first wave anthology, "Crusade."
(See my little re-cap for new folks and lurkers? *wink*)

Seriously? I'm so excited to see imagery for Jade. I have a feeling it will be so creepy cool. Though... I find even working carousels a bit creepy, so maybe it will just be creepy for me. Who knows?
Either way, again, Jade looks amazing, Brianne.

Jennifer, I know the room that you're talking about. I found it after you talked to me about it, right after you were public room hopping. =]
Launa, those pants have been textured a *lot* (the mesh, I mean). They come with the belts and shoes, but that means... no clipping! (http://www.imvu.com/shop/web_search.php?keywords=&categories_id=&manufacturers_id=&derived_from=3778274&sort=score&sortorder=desc&Search.x=58&Search.y=19)

You know... if we can find that room... hm... I may have someone interested in adapting "Carousel" as a single issue comic... how might you feel about that, Brianne?

EJ! Let the poor girl take a breath! We all know she's fab, but I mean she has to look up from the screen some times, right? Right? . . . EJ . . . why are you looking at me that way . . .
B. I had pictured Jade as . . . well . . . green. I think I've been watching too much . . . something.

It would be incredible if someone adapted "Carousel" as a comic... I'd even thought of doing, although doing the novel might be more important for *me* to do... LOL =]
The only thing we should keep in mind is that the first part of the story, which has the carousel in it, takes place indoors. Jade lives in Old Seattle, which is all but shut down in 2060. This is the carousel that is connected to the arcade downtown, near the ferry terminal.
So, while this mesh is really freaking awesome (*grin*) it wouldn't neccesarily work for this story. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... I just started *really* thinking seriously about someone doing this project, and what kind of sets would be needed. It's been at least a year since I've really thought about the story. =]
Summer? Seriously? Carousel?

Oh, Brianne! You're right. I just re-read the story. I think I thought of the story and that room because of the urban feel to it more than anything. There are several cool carousels as furniture items in the catalog, thankfully
EJ? Does Summer have experience with cinematography/blocking? How about fiction-to-script adaption? How curious!

That's exactly where I was coming from as well, Jennifer, but Brianne? I'm sure that Summer would want to stay very, very true to the story. And how cool would it be to have a comic titled "Jade: Carousel" in second wave?!
Summer took the exact same course you did, Jennifer, through UCLA (McKey and all that jazz!) so she knows from blocking and adapting -- good story well told I'll drag her online, okay, Brianne? She can pitch to you She knows a little something about grrls a few steps closer to crazy than they are toward normal

Too me it also seemed just the right *feel* to "Carousel", and I think that's why I didn't remember about the indoor/outdoor thing. Brianne

I've been thinking nothing but "Carousel" for the last week. Reading it again between suit meets and scouting. I really want to do it. This is such a rockin opp and I think I could bring my film know-how to the blocking. I'd want Bri to create (build??) Jade and I think Mama Jenn's sets for the "Blood Trade" comix are just terrific. Could I have both of you for those parts? I would board, adapt (with AA, course), block, and shoot. Angel says she could handle the lay as long as my boards were tight in line.
You sure on this, Bri? I don't want to overwhelm. Got enough of that, yea? It would all be for second wave and I would fund it myself in exchange for name credit as the illustrator/cinematographer. It would be really smart for my resume.
Summer
Bri? Truth that you're rewriting? I shouldn't think to much on the story I have?
