John Ilaria is Harper Ilaria's older brother. Like Harper, he was born in the mysterious Terrapyre city "Sanctuary" and is only a few years older than his sister. He is completely dedicated to Harper, protecting and watching out for his little sister at all times even if he does not always understand her mental fits or visions. He is a romantic and can become obsessive with matters of the heart, but most of the time he is logical and extremely aware of his responsibilities to his family. Harper is very dependent on him.
