I'm through the sourcebook a second time now and totally down with the Terrapyres, babies of Fallen Angels.
I understand they have a Living Word scripture going on and that the books of the Bible are being renamed. I checked out some of the ones already posted on the forum and I think I get the knack. You research the assumed author of the book ("Mark" or "Peter" etc) and who they were as much as possible and then tweak out these words with their Hebrew or Greek defining factors? Am I on to something?
If so, can any of us help or propose (re)names for consideration?
Cha all, Angelo

Angelo and Jennifer, I see on the Others topic how there is talk of Enoch and The Book of Jubilees. Are these aprocrypha and deuterocanonical apocrypha part of the Terrapyre canon?

I thought gathering this information from other posts would be useful since here is where these decisions very specifically so are being made.
This information was gathered from posts by Jennifer and E.J..
1. Not all the books in the Human Bible will be part of the Terrapyre's Living Word scripture. Feel strongly about specific verses? Post and let us know. Don't let your favorite verses be lost to the Terrapyres.
2. All the books of the Bible that are used will be renamed. Some names that have been chosen already are:
Matthew = Moreh (Means Teacher. No one may ever know Matthew’s true name. He wanted only to bring glory to Christ with his writings and so he named his verses Moreh. Matthew presents Christ as a great teacher and man of parables and lessons and sermons. It may be found interesting that Matthew's true name was Levi and he was a Terrapyre with Cloak and Vanish as evidenced by the fact that he is mentioned by name in no other scripture and by the fact that he is often depicted as one of the apostles who returns in the End Times with wings.)
Mark = Ari (Lion in Hebrew. Mark's animal attribute as assigned by early Christian art, and the Catholic church. However, this is also a thematic reference to the gospel of Mark where Christ is presented as a vigorous and driven man of deeds and strength.)
Luke = Milim (Milim means Words. Luke was not an eye witness to Christ but rather a follower of Paul who was an eye witness to Christ. Luke is attributed to the New Testament Christian belief that Christ's words are as valid as His spoken words and how the written word is as dangerous and as joyous as a spoken word. In a Living Word Bible all stories of John the Baptist appear in Milim.)
John = Yedid (Beloved. As Christ calls John. Yedid is the elegant form of this word with both religious and romantic connotations.)
Psalms = Songs
Peter = Pétros, meaning the foundation and the rock. Scripture from 2 Peter would still just be tagged as scripture from Pétros (no number before).
Genesis = Origin.
John = Beloved.
Paul = Apostle

Mik, thank you. This was very nice of you. I can now add:
Romans: Epistola (which means Letters as Romans would have said it in 50 AD) Acts: Witness

Just a question: Mik, in your post you've listed John twice. Will John be 'Beloved' or 'Yedid'?

That would be my original error, Brianne, thank you for catching it. It should simply be Beloved.

I'd like to use scripture from Phillipians, so I need a book name for it. Here's what I found about the book: "Philippians is essentially a “thank you” letter for the sacrificial giving that the Philippians had made on Paul’s behalf. But because their own sacrifice was so great they began to doubt God’s continued provision. Thus the themes of (1) thanksgiving for God’s provision, (2) regarding one another as more important than oneself, (3) rejoicing over their salvation in the face of opposition, and (4) trusting God for his care are all found in this occasional letter. To reduce the theme to one item is to ignore its very occasional character." -from bible.org/seriespage/philippians-introduction-argument-and-outlineThe Hebrew word for 'thank you' is Toda... This seemed appropriate to me. Anyone? Ideas? Brianne

I think that sounds perfect, Brianne. The books that I researched were named just like that. Great work.
