How This Board is Organized

To keep this complex board organized and easy to harvest for the universe sourcebook, we're dividing it across the cornerstones of a culture. As the person responsible for harvesting for the sourcebook, Cris will be tackling this task over the next few days.

Our chosen cornerstones are:

The titling convention will appear like this:

Prime Time: Cornerstone Religion: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Law: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Shelter: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Entertainment: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Education: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Commerce: Topic
Prime Time: Cornerstone Technology: Topic

Sometimes, in order to accommodate long topic names, the Prime Time part of the titling will simply appear as PT.

The "Topic" is whatever specific topic you want to propose or discuss under the various cornerstone categories.

If you are uncertain which cornerstone to post under, you can PM Cris, or you can post your idea in the "Which Cornerstone Category is My New Idea?" thread. Cris will copy-and-paste your topic onto the appropriate thread and let you know where she moved it. (She'll post where it was moved to on the "Which Cornerstone Category is My New Idea?" thread).

This is a *very* helpful list, Cris. Thank you. I have only three suggestions (which might be a record for me).

Can we re-title "Prime Time: Cornerstone Technology: Medicine" to something that makes more sense to include free-running such as "Prime Time: Cornerstone Technology: Physiology" or even a more general title like "Prime Time: Cornerstone Technology: Health"?

Also, the light-tagging was proposed as a means for communications between Terrapyres, I believe. Though it could have a component that work with the genetics of the user, it might fit better under technology or something about communications.

The only other thing I thought we might want to tweak about the tree is putting wearable tech in Technology because I simply think that's where writers using the sourcebook will look for it, especially since a lot of wearable tech is battle gear as opposed to fashion.

Yes, absolutely. I want to keep a Tech Medicine thread because of the discussion about artificial limbs which appear in Sha's stories already and I think there are going to be more tech/human interfaces as we go forward. However, Parkour and Freerunning are not a clean fit there, so I've moved them to the Terrapyre section. They're now in Terrapyres/Physiology.

Thanks for clarifying that. The original discussion between you and Abbie about this got lost in one of the crashes. I've created a new thread called Prime Time: Cornerstone Communication. You two can update us on how this form of communication could be used with genetic markers.

No problem. These are some of the problematic areas that I wasn't sure about. I moved the Metamaterials and the information on Bands and Bander Technology to the Terrapyres/Weapons and Armor General thread.
