It sure does make sense, EJ. How about Grace next? Your thoughts?
My thoughts:
Good singers, musicians or other physical artists (dancers). Lyrical and poetic (graceful in thought and word not just in movement). Naturally, simply elegant. Classically, gently attractive (not flashy). Emotionally present. Lover of the arts. Good sense of humor (not at the expensive of others). Loving.
Negatives:
Easily hurt (emotionally). Not as hardy physically as others might be. Low pain threshold.

I think they might also be soft-spoken. I think of Cloak characters as more of the intensely thoughtful or quiet types, but I see people with Grace as, perhaps, good listeners? Present, but not needing to be center of attention. They're not loud, I think, unless they are impassioned. Like when dancing or painting or whatever is their *thing.* When in their element, I think they would shine (not physically, of course *chuckle*)
Sound good?

Jenn, I don't think that Grace should be less hardy physically with a low pain threshold. Angelus has Grace and I have portrayed him as a consumate athlete--beginning with the Aggelos section in Greece. He's a free runner. Also dancers must have incredible physical strength and endurance. Also, consider the +1 on the rolls--that requires stamina if you're going to take it out to its logical end.
In terms of being easily hurt, is that what you're saying is a trade-off for the artistic sensitivity? Perhaps also in some this would manifest as a tendency to misread cues. Would they be naturally paired with someone with presence? Of Chorus or Elijah, who would Angelus be closer to?

Though those with Cloak might wel be more quiet, I would think that Cloak would also create a secretive individual--not in a bad way--but someone who has secrets or who isn't likely to open up to others easily.
I'm not so sure I see those with Grace as good listeners, I'd see that more with Presence because, as with Lead, others are drawn *to* them. Grace has it's own energy and motivation. Grace is about motion, spreading the word, widening the circles but I don't think they would be so much about listening as someone else might be.
I imagine Angelus as someone who moves easily among many different types of people and groups, but not someone who stays after an event to listen to the fans fawning over him. Grace doesn't strike me as proud or flashy, as Jennifer mentioned, but I think Grace would want to be in motion.
Thoughts? Cris

That all sounds good, Cris! Jumping to this: People with Vanish would be secretive in a negative way. They would withhold information and be very insular and not trusting.
Good?

I think that could be very true about people with Vanish, yes, though I wonder if that would be also associated with Cloak? Though I think people with Vanish might also be quiet or just... easily missed when someone is scanning a room or something. Perhaps they have the ability to be forgettable? Like, intentionally forgettable? That would be interesting.

That brings up an interesting point. What is the difference between Vanish and Cloak in terms of how they manifest in a person's personality?

Hmm. I think I always broke it down by how I saw them working. I think of Vanish people as spies. I think of Cloak as informants. They can hide any secret. For this reason I always saw people with Cloak as inherently more distrustful, and Vanish as more secretive.
Does that make sense? May be totally wrong, but that's how I see them.

Spies vs. Informats actually perfectly sums it up, I think.
Like... Vanish people are aggressively mysterious. Actively so. Cloak people are passively mysterious.

As I do the final pass on the CCG cards in the decks (Two-Player is now finalized and at the printer) and the National Edition Boosters, an interesting development has arisen:
We've all talked about primary and secondary Skills. Most Immortals have one mastery, but some do have two. But consider an Immortal who can briefly use *any* of the Skills. There is a Special in the NE Boosters that allows a player to rotate between the six Skills, one per turn. The trick is, every three turns, the Immortal has no Skill use at all. An interesting card that I thought might also be interesting to explore in the mythology

That's a nice balance. What an interesting Lairmate that Immortal (or Compeer, of course) would be! They could shift between Skills... but just when you need them most... BOOM! Fires a blank. Hm. Cool idea.

That is a really great idea. But obviously it's not considered a Skill itself, right? So what would cause this? Is it something an Immortal is born with, or is it, perhaps, an intentional change? Something they are trained to do or...?
