Also I need to thank Cris for telling me again and again not to self-edit but just to write. Get it on paper. Cris wrote me a schedule. It went like this:
I read the sourcebook very slowly. Then I sat down with no idea or plan at all. I thought just about ideas for one hour. Then I researched for two hours. Then I stopped any work on the story for one day and just casually thought about it. Then I wrote for three hours. Done.
This is the same approach that Cris told to Eric for his story and he swore by it. I used it too. It was amazing. She is very wise.
