I think this counts as a pretty awesome official event:
Tomorrow at 7pm PST, the entire team at 7419 will be filming the MG3K How-to videos! Let's all send them prayers and positive thoughts, yeah?

The filming with the actors (Kevin O'Neil, Brianne's brother, and Maxwell) went very well. Cris even shot some "making of" stills. The entire series is thirty minutes long (three videos) with about ten minutes of total footage of the actors. Then we have a lot of stills of cards in various positions. Those shots will be done Tuesday or Wednesday. Last, we have about fifteen minutes of me standing in front of a brick wall or something talking. It'll be outside so I'm thinking leather jacket over the "Game Master" sweatshirt that EJ wants me to wear -- brr! :{ The whole project is exciting. Writing the scripts really took me back to the UCLA film class I took several years back *happy sigh* The final series will be available this month from links on the website. And I'll add links here too  Hm. That reminds me... I need to contact my sister to be my makeup artist LOL! I'm sensitive enough that 90% of the folks watching the series will be young enough to be my kiddos! 8[ |

A quick update: Brianne was pulled off work on the How-To videos because the distributor wanted the comics longer. She is adding incredible content -- exclusive to the issues! Like an entire booster of (that's twelve cards -- no joke!) exclusive cards that will ship *only* with "Blood Trade" and only with "Under the Influence," as well as an extensive character gallery, BB RPG character sheets for carded characters, *and* a mini-comic (well, twelve pages is a pretty darn long mini!) in the back of the issue! Wow! Talk about the extra mile... or two miles  Okay, that being said, Brianne and I have worked together and have just tonight finished editing (me directing and Brianne doing the actual work) video #1 and the first 1/2 of video #2. We will have all done this week with voice-over work (that's just little ole me) done this weekend. Then... the video go up. *shivers* I'm excited but nervous. I gotta tell you all, I learned something very powerful (thank you, Christ!) about myself. At one point (I can't believe I'm sharing this!!) the camera was left on and I wasn't aware. I rehearse the line and get very frustrated with myself (and the people off camera) because I keep messing it up. It was like an amazing study in human behavior. In short, I found: I look really scary when I'm mad. Like, seriously. It's not funny. I would not mess with me  I gave both kids and Brianne and Cris major big hugs to say sorry that they are forced to live with me! 8{ So... the video series is nearing completion! Jennifer |

Jen - been there, done that. Being on camera, or acting (sort-of acting! with lines, anyway) can be really frustrating! We all appreciate the work you're doing. :3

I have never done any camera or acting work, but I will trust you and MG. Thank you for all the work from the whole team making the videos. I think it is a wonderful way to learn to play the game.
