It's ok....no need to be ashamed, Jen...everyone has that one food they just...can't...shake xD One of my favorite things as a kid was called "Eggs in a frame." You just take a cookie cutter and cut out of the middle of a slice of bread, butter the bread and toss it in a frying pan. Then you crack an egg into the hole you cut out of the bread and fry it. The bread turns out sooo tasty and you can use the little leftover cutouts to mop up the egg yolk. I LOVE those things! I think I might have to make some this morning. xD That, or maybe I'll make eggs benedict. >.> *Is now officially very hungry*

Oh Abbie, I know you aren't a GenXer, grrl -- you're too nice! But your egg carton idea was just so '70s Fab I had to mention it Jennifer, yeah. There are no private matters at this forum, babe. Plus, you and Cris? Seventeen years now, as of April 1, right? Grrl... ain't *nothing* private no more! XD Cris? Rave about the new instruments in your house, grrl! I hear you're a harmonious household now! Gille P.S. Abbie is right. Some foods cannot be shook. My weakness? Chocolate Shell. *shivers*

Hahaha, I am an old lady in a young lady's body. Aka, I have more fun than the average girl because I don't have to say "I wish I was young again" ! 17 years O__O That. Is a long time. But awesome, too. And I'd love to hear about harmony. I love musics. Gille, are you talking about that magic stuff you pour on ice cream and it turns to a hard chocolatey coating? MMMMM, I love that stuff too. Though it kinda burns my throat if I eat too much, probably some toxic chemical. I like regular chocolate just fine. those 1 lb. Symphony bars? Yeah, I (wish I could) have one of those in my house at all times. Just for emergencies. You know.

The folks I work with used to all chip in and buy 10-pound bars of dark chocolate. They'd keep it in a file drawer with a knife and whenever they'd have a craving, they'd go chip off a piece and snack. It was kinda funny, actually... Personally, I go for crunchy stuff before I go for chocolate. Except for gluten-free corner brownies. ;D

^ That lolcat is hilarious.
And I don't much care for dark chocolate. I am a milky grrl all the way. And the crispies in it, or peanuts, or almonds, or toffee...or peanut butter...OH MAN PEANUT BUTTER M & M'S! That is one of my other weaknesses. A specific one besides just chocolate.

Peanut Butter M&Ms? See, though, once you start getting into stuff like them, Reeses Pieces, their mini PB cups, the regular cups, the PB eggs... the chocolate:peanut butter ratio varies so greatly that if you find you like one formulation, you can't necessarily assume you'll like all the rest as much. Oops - my left brain is showing again... I hate when that happens!!

Well mostly I'm a peanut butter M&M's grrl. The ratio of pretty-candy color to peanut butter to chocolate is juuuuust right. Great for tossing up in the air to catch in your mouth. Once I think I got 12 in a row when I was eating those. xD I was a bit sick after...

*shivers* Yeah, 17 years as of April 1. Where the heck did the time go? But you're right, not much left that might be construed as private. Um... Gille... chocolate shell... I'm just gonna let that hang. So our harmonious household is largely due to our incredible new forum member, Mira, who started it off so innocently with a comment about Maxwell's turtle uke. She is a uke player and on a recent trip sent two ukes to us (one for me and another for Max), and a beautiful beginner's harp for Faith. Mira, you rock! Now, since we have 5 members of this household, Jenn and I pooled our pennies and bought Brianne a guitar, which she got new strings for today. We gave it to her last week. It comes with free lessons from me. And then Jenn's PVC harp actually turned out well. The copper paint and the hardware make it look really steampunky. It took 3 hours to string (design flaws) and 3 hours to tune the first time, but everyday it stays in tune a little longer. We printed staff paper and I gave Jenn a quick and dirty lesson in putting notes on the page and she's off composing new tunes. The sound is harp-like, but she's holding out for the wooden steampunk harp that she's designing (and bought cool gears for) and I'm building. She said... "Did it ever strike you as odd that when ever I get an idea for a project, it always involves you making something?" ... Here's some PVC, Cris, now go and figure out this guy's plans and when you're done, I'll paint it ... Well, after 17 years, what can I say? If I build it, she will play. So, yeah, music is really coming to the fore here, which I just love. It's been on the back burner for me for so many years, and now, suddenly, it's everywhere I look. Cris

Oh, Cris! You're so sweet to me. I was just so tickled that Maxwell played the same instrument that I do and one thing just led to another! Then I found all the talk about Jennifer playing harp and little Faith looks so much like her and I just like the idea of you'all making music to fill up your house in the woods.

Oh, Abbie? You mentioned one of my all-time favorite foods. But I've always called it Frog in a Pond. A slow-boiled egg with salt and pepper and fresh basil sitting in the cut out area of a slice of butter-fried sourdough bread. Heaven!

LOL, Abbie and Mira, my dad used to call them One-Eyed Petes (I like your names better!) He learned to make them in Australia. For us they were an over-easy egg cooked in the middle of a piece of bread but, for the extra protein, they were eaten with cooked beans poured over the top. Better than they sound Funny how these things are common.
