I agree, Abbie  I might just have more gamer grrls than any where else on the web! Okay... except for those sites like, um, gamergrrls.com and stuff like that ;} Ladies, I think most of us are very curious to read-along when your gaming group, The Hours, starts up again. So many incredible ideas for novels and stories have come from BBRPG adventures here on the forum. As a fun aside: Yovie? In "Under the Influence" (the comic trilogy with the flairtender Kathleen) there's a character named Guine. And the starring character in my story "Taste of Sunlight" which posts today for the first time in the fanfiction section, is named Mikiela Shanti  Lots of fun shout outs. Welcome, all of you. So good to see the forum growing with such creative people. |

So I just realized that I never reintroduced myself on the new forum. Life has been nuts, but I'm slowly catching up. I'm Launa and I've been involved in the MG3K community pretty much from the beginning. I am the author of Ganymede: Transformations, Chariklo: Priorities, Harper: Identity, Chariklo and Harper's stories in "Immortal Waking," the stories "Into the Mist" and "All that and a Box of Donuts" in the Crusade Battle Anthology, and co-creator of the Leather Ladybird sideline. Despite my love of my Terrapyre characters, my heart is with the Celestials. (And I'll smack talk with any Terrapyre Dog any time of the day ;D) Besides writing I am working as a full time helper, companion and keeper for a fascinating, widowed diplomat's wife. I am working to go back to college (to study psychology, journalism, business or foreign relations), learning Russian and art and will soon be continuing my work with comics thanks to a new patron. I also work part time selling skin care. I'm impulsive and love new things, people and places. I like to travel to new places just to be somewhere I have never been before and I want to travel the world. I love learning new things and meeting new people and encorporating it into my writing. I absolutely adore being in the MG3K community. I have never met a more diverse, fascinating and empowering group of people. I am honored to be involved in such a powerful work. Hello, I'm Ashlen. I'm Launa Jo's younger sister. I don't know much about gaming, but I did place in a Mardi Gras tournament. Which I do feel cool about, that was me bragging. (: I'm a senior in High School and I want to persue the Medical Field once I graduate. I enjoy reading, it takes up the majority of my pass time. I'm up beat & outgoing and love to have a good laugh. I'm weird and I love to dance to groovy music.
I was intrigued by the Mardi Gras universe and wanted to be able to contribute to this amazing world. (:

Hello. My name is Leigh O'Connor. I am a student at UCLA working toward a master's in psychology, majoring in cognitive science. I have my bachelor's in nanoengineering from UCSD where I paid for school by tutoring incoming freshmen. This is how I met Grace Gracia who told me about Mardi Gras 3000.
I have followed the forum for two years and seventeen days but this is the first time I registered. I like the quality of the conversations right now. I also think it's really great that you have three out mothers of autistic children.
My interests lie primarily in how the mind works and why people do what they do. I think Mardi Gras 3000 explores this every day.
I am glad to finally be here.

I also spend time designing LEGO sets and writing articles on the real science behind fictional television shows and movies that rely on surface science and pseudo-paranormal concepts.
That should explain my LEGO avatar with one brown brick.

Welcome to the forum, Leigh! I also wanted to add that the information you've been sharing has been really fascinating to me. Science really isn't something I excel at, at least the traditional sciences, but psychology and anthropology have always been interests of mine. Thank you very much for joining.

Welcome, Leigh Is the idea behind the Lego avatar that in a whole book or episode of science fiction made of many blocks, there is one block of real science? I really liked the mystery there! You should tell Grace that she should post an intro, too. I don't think she ever has. EJ |
