Sha wrote: It occurred to me that perhaps those of us who have been here for two and three years should take a moment to introduce ourselves again. My lengthy biography can be found on the official writers topic but I will offer a short introduction here: My name is Shara Djinian and I live outside Kapan, Armenia. I am 19 years old and an avid hard SF fan. For just over a year I have had the much enviable employment of being caretaker for the primary meat source for the families in my settlement--a herd of mix-breed rabbits the size of Great Danes and quite fierce, proven by the attractive scar I earned myself in the spring. Lesson learned: Never feed rabbits late and never let them climb above your head. I am of good humor and count my forum friends as my closest ones. I often forget that Terrapyres aren't real. I am a New Testament Christian and single I am honored to be here and hold EJ in most high regard. Sha

We are happy to be a part of this new and exciting universe. I thought I would poke my head in and let you know a little about me and the store here... I am 37 and married to a lovely lady named Jessie. We met in college where I was studying to be an actor and she was getting into technical theatre. I found her captivating at first sight and introduced myself to her by giving her a backrub as we waited to start auditions. We have two very sharp and comical boys named Nathan and Roland. I have worked in the gaming industry for nearly eleven years now with both major companies (Games Workshop and Sabretooth Games) and smaller retailers ( Tornado Alley Games and Games and Stuff). I love British television (Doctor Who for the win), great game worlds, and writing whenever I get the opprotunity. Games and Stuff has been around in Glen Burnie (in several different guises) for well over tweleve years. In its current incarnation, it has been owned by a gentleman named Ed Sloman for well over the last eight years. Quite possibly he is the best boss on the planet. His expertise in Magic: the Gathering, various board games, and D&D is extensive. We work well together as our strengths and weaknesses complement each other ( I am great at miniatures games, terrain building and the like). We have events every evening at our store with Magic and the tabletop miniatures game called WarMachine being our most popular. We have a 2,000 square foot retail area and the second floor is a 2,00 square foot gaming area with a VIP room. If any of you are in the DC/Maryland area you are more than welcome to come on by and consider us a gathering point for Mardi Gras 3000. We will have our care packages open and displayed as soon as they come in so feel free to come by and gaze upon the gaming goodness as the official release date quickly approaches.

Sha? Your short introduction is quite nice. Have you considered taking the essay from your IMVU homepage and posted it on your official thread? Just a thought from me to you. It is a very nice essay.
Hello, everyone. My name is Luz. I live in Brazil and am recently thirteen years old. I wrote officially for Mardi Gras 3000 having been honored to supply both "Blood Trade" (the story of Terrapyre/Celestial first contact) for the "Mardi Gras 3000: Battle Anthology" and "Immortal Waking: Chiron" for the "Mardi Gras 3000: Player's Handbook." I am currently working on an as yet untitled piece set on the eve of the year 3000 AD which will come to be serialized across rare cards inserted into the booster packs of the National Edition.
I am a pianist and Type 1 diabetic. I live with my parents, four sisters, one brother, and three adopted siblings including my best friend, Julie, from the States. My parents both served in the military and met the Angel family before Rae Sol Angel, EJ's grandmother, retired. My family is not religious rather we consider science the religion that, perhaps, God left here for us.
Like Sha, I am honored to be here.

This is a great idea, Sha. I encourage long time members to re-introduce themselves. Here's my two cents... okay, maybe twenty-five cents.
I am a GenXer, New Testament Christian, happily married mother of two who lives in the Pacific Northwest. At first I was drawn only to the Terrapyres -- specifically to the human Companions who help them -- but lately I have been struck by the incredibly passionate nature of Celestials and their purity of focus.
Though I was pleased to have a short story ("Do You Want Fries with Your Grail?") included in the "MG3K: Battle Anthology," my capacity here is mostly as publisher of the brand. I've worked in publishing since I was sixteen years old and have been a published SF/F author since around that same time with about a dozen books (as well as poetry, film and plays) on my resume. My true love is mathmatics, specifically physics, and I channel this love into publishing. Mathmatics also fueled my creation of the unique operating system that runs the MG3K ecg -- the patented Stacked system.
MG3K has made many of my dreams come true (I recently got to direct the first half of the shoot for the "Immortal Waking: Jared" comic) and I am forever thankful for the amazing team of men and women who keep it alive and strong. I've met fascinating authors and artists in my time, but none so much so as the MG3K ones.

My name is Eric Chen. I developed the carded Celestial Eris into the complex and universally misunderstood (LOL) Big Bad that he has come to be for the MG3K universe. I've written "Immortal Waking: Eris," "300 AD" and the story concept for the "Eris: Black & Gold" comics (two issues in the Mardi Gras 3000 series of comics).
My straight job is working as a PM (Project Manager) for the comic industry managing issues and series from story concept through marketing of the final title. I am a single father with a teen-age son (Jin is an accomplished skateboarder who dreams of owning a windboard). My hobbies include body-building, boxing (watching), and film.
Very glad to be here.

Hello all, from the starry night of the City of Angels. I've come to MG3K at the bequest of my good friend Jennifer, your publisher, and because I tend to break stereotypes; I'm drawn equally to both Terrapyres and Celestials.
I am an actor and independent film-maker by trade, which usually means I'm unemployed, but luckily my hobby is restoring old planes and this pays my bills. I'm also a pilot licensed to fly everything from a crop-duster to a 747 (I prefer little planes, personally).

Hey there gamer buddies! I'm Pip Anderson. I'm not a writer of anything but I am a MG3K ecg player. I've been with the brand since the beta deck was being play tested all over the U.S. and Brazil and I played in a bunch of tourneys, taking first place in a couple, including the kick butt online tourney. I play Terrapyres mostly with a smooth team of Lead, Key and Presence. I play heavy on strategy, light on luck.
Right now my partner and I are living with Angel in LA while we save up first, last and damage for our own place. I work managing an indie movie theater where Teresa is a projectionist. We play MG3K at least four times a week, mostly more if we have break together.
Right now I'm most amazed by Angel's paintings which are awesome to watch come alive in stages. She stays up really late into the night and sometimes doesn't sleep for days because she has some insane work hours and tries to crunch in painting time. Teresa and I keep encouraging her to post her in progress pictures here on the forum.
I love being part of this community. You all rock socks.

I heard about Mardi Gras 3000 through my lover who met Sha while playing an online MMORPG. Sha sent a two player beta deck and our group of six friends were introduced to the universe.
I hold Masters in linguistics and anthropology and have offered my services as a volunteer for the construction of the Celestial spoken language (Homidin). I prefer Celestials to Terrapyres because of the unmistakable and heartbreaking beauty of the Celestial culture and the innate altruism that lies at their cores.
Already, I feel very at home here on the forum.

I decided to revise my intro as a lot changes in a year...
It's great to see friends, old and new, here. I'm Cris, the Senior Editor of all (written) things MG3K as well as the Senior Editor and Chief Operations Officer for Orchard House Press, the publishing house I co-own with Jennifer.
I am responsible for updating the Sourcebook on a regular basis (there will be an update before launch). I am also the primary Homidin language developer--after Mik did the incredible job of laying the groundwork. I've also written the origin novels for both Angelus and Pholus. I'm kind of attached to Ananke, who appears in the story "Blood and Roses" in the Crusade Battle Anthology.
I'm a nationally ranked player and was part of the beta testing that went on both online and locally in the Seattle area.
I have two children, one is seven and the other almost ten. We also raise rabbits, but ours are nuggets compared with Sha's, and we've managed to breed English Spots and Lions Manes, and have some pretty interesting ones right now. I've lived all over America, but I think of the Pacific Northwest, where I live now, is my favorite place.
We have an fruit orchard and a large garden in the summer, which I hope we can expand to supply all of our fruits and vegetables.
I am currently a purple belt karate student. I am a voracious reader--always have been--and love to spend time with my kids, who are always interesting.
I like to write both Celestials and Terrapyres, though I have come to truly love Celestials.

Heya Peeps!
MG here, aka Abbie Fitzsimmons, aka totally a Terrapyre, short fiction writer, concept girl, and a few other things. I'm 21, live in podunk Wisconsin, USA (no that's not a real town name lol), and I am obsessed with art of all kinds (studying to be an artist), music, reading YA Fiction, and writing it as well.
I came to the MG3k universe via Launa Sorensen, in fact through her books the Areane Journals, and I've fallen headlong into it.
Right now I might not be around a whole lot because my husband and I are buying a house, and we need to fix it up all pretty so we can move in!! :3 I'm a little excited about that.
In any case that's who I am. Good to see everyone again

Helllloooo everyone! It's so nice for folks to be reintroducing. Thank you all for taking the time. I know we're all so busy (many of us busy with MG3K launch duties!) so I really appreciate the minutes folks can sneak in to post.
Mik, thank you (as a brand new member) for saying hi and telling us about you. I have really enjoyed working with you on the Celestial language and feel, to be honest, that I have a better grasp of them culturally now. They are such a passionate people in their own right. Thank you for coming on as our linguist. Christ certainly works in mysterious and most awesome ways, yes?

I live in the pacific northwest, surrounded by the temperate rainforest. I work for Jennifer and Cris, and also home-school an incredible seven year old =]. I love drawing with charcoals, reading, and writing in my spare time, which has recently been the very early hours of the morning.
Glad to be here, and to see so many new people! =]

Hi. I am areanecreator's Dad. I only get to pop in sporadically (to spy in on how things are going) , based on how busy I am at work and at home. I am friends with several people in the forum (they know who they are) . I am not a MG writer, or much of a player, though I did play in one of the initial tournaments at the request of my daughter). I am an engineer with a passion for reading fiction, but my everyday skills are in technical writing. Writing in first person and trying to add emotion is a bit awkward for me. My degree is mechanical engineering, but I oversee multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, civil, and naval architecture. I am a systems engineer and a safety engineer. I tend to think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions to problems and find issues that others had overlooked. In this forum, I am more likely to post when it appears someone is having writer's block, or is having difficulty with some technical issue.

Greetings, gamers, writers and readers. I’ve been holding off posting for the new sourcebook but I understand that perfection takes time and I just miss you all too much. Plus my mother (a close friend of Cris) reminds me that mothers and fathers never do thing quickly because they always have that “Slow Children Playing” sign by the road.
I came to Mardi Gras 3000 by word of mouth and abandoned my six-hour-a-day WoW habit to make time and space to use my brain and stretch my creative muscles. I was a wrestler in high school and had a scholarship to a Midwestern college. The summer between high school (in LA) and college I lost my little sister to a drunk driver and I think this completely changed my life. I came to MG3K (and EJ’s Sunday blog) during this time and the really dark two years that followed. I credit her and this community for bringing me through. I now run a small farm with my mother and younger brother, and help home-school my youngest brother and care for my baby sister.
I wrote the story “40,000 Channels and Nothing On” for the forthcoming battle anthology which stars two original (uncarded) characters named Buck and Fuzz who are VR coders in the far future (post-Prime Time).
I love it here.

I'm Launa Sorensen, Design Manager, Designer (on a few projects), writer, comic designer, and all-around overworked MG3K employee. LOL! But loving every second of it.
I've written the Origin novels "Ganymede" and "Harper" as well as short stories "Immortal Waking: Harper" "Immortal Waking: Chariklo" and short stories "All That and a Box of Donuts" and "Into the Mist" that will appear in the Crusade Battle Anthology. I am a Celestial fan by nature, though I have been drawn to various Terrapyres. I like the unusual characters. The oddities of both races (I mean, come on, Harper is morally opposed to remote controls. I have a love of the crazy. )
It's so good to be here, and marvelous to see so many of you again. I look forward to jumping back into this amazing universe, and coming home to all my friends here.
